Mitsubishi Outlander Teaser of the future is launched

Mitsubishi ad for the Geneva Motor Show the presentation ofa VPS it’s simply an arrival of the replacement of the current Outlander bornin October 2005. Here is the first image of the front (in demonstration versionat the end of article).

This new SUV will have largely guided by the concept carPX-MiEV II as we have seen in recent exhibitions, including in Tokyo last December. The VPS announces thechange of pace from the front of Mitsubishi who will lose in the future the famousgrille which gave Jetfighter look mean and sports cars of the Japanesemanufacturer. We do not know much about this new generation Outlanderparticularly in the area of the engine which may be electric, hybrid orelectric with range extender as it was exposed on the concept car in Japan.

To recap, the PX II MiEV is powered by two electric motorsof 60 kW (81 hp) powered by batteries recharged by an engine block 2.0 L 95 hp.Transmission 4-wheel drive S-AWC, 50 km in EV mode, with 800 km range extenderon and only 1.7 L/100 km. Coming in less than two months.
